Cloud Revolution: Amazon Web Services Training

14 September 2016, Park Inn Hotel – Cloudstaff invites Bryan Wong and Julian Lau of Amazon Web Services to share their expertise in cloud-based solutions to some of our Cloudstaffers.

With today’s business landscape, a heavier emphasis is placed on cloud-based solutions. In fact it is no longer just an advantage to be skilled in the use of cloud-based applications and services. Today, it is vital.

Cloud Revolution

The Cloud was always going to revolutionise the way businesses managed IT.

To keep up to date in this highly volatile and evolving market, Cloudstaff invests in the training and development of its staff. Over 30 Cloudstaffers and their Country Manager, Joy Cuison attended the AWS training. Lasting for six hours, the training covered a number of things, namely:

  • Introduction to the AWS Cloud & what makes it different from other providers;
  • Use cases and case studies of AWS usage in the Philippines;
  • 101 Technical Overview & Demo;
  • And Architecture Design & Benefits of AWS.

With no physical hardware to manage (requiring less staff), extreme scalability, and better reliability; using the cloud just makes perfect sense!

Senior Developer, Allan Atim had this to say about the training: “The training was very impressive and edifying on what cloud computing could offer both our internal projects and our client-based projects. It provided me a clearer understanding of the different AWS Pillars/Services they have at their AWS Console.”

Acquiring knowledge and skills, is always a good investment in Cloudstaff’s books. Not only do your staff get better at their job, but they (the company included) will also lose the risk of being obsolete in this fast-paced industry.

But of course, we understand that training can be a very tiring albeit useful activity. So we would like to thank all the Cloudstaffers who invested their time and effort in participating in this training, and a great big thanks to our training facilitators, Bryan Wong and Julian Lau, for sharing with us their knowledge.
