Cloudstaff goes to Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC)

Cloudstaff  regularly attends Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) to get a glimpse into the future of the Apple product line, network with developers, meet with Apple engineers and attend the in-depth training sessions.

Apple recently held its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) at McEnery Convention Centre in San Jose, California. This event is a very important date in our development team’s calendar. Alvin, our Machine Learning and Mobile Development manager was there to learn about the latest updates from the company.

Alvin attended the keynote address, where Apple’s CEO and team leads demonstrated the features and technologies in the next releases of the company’s operating systems: macOS Mojave, iOS 12, tvOS 12, and watchOS 5. He also attended Apple’s Innovation and Design Awards where Apple recognised the top 10 Apps for the year.

He spent much of the week at WWDC learning about the new tools for debugging in Xcode 10, Metal for VR, ARKit, Siri shortcuts, and Create ML. These events are a critical part of delivering the innovative technology that we use to help our customers get the most from outsourcing. It was a valuable week for our entire development team.

This commitment to technology has allowed us to create the Cloudstaff Platform and Ecosystem. These systems and tools have been designed to deliver better productivity, transparency, communication, and reporting. They are also a key part of our staff engagement strategy.

Attending events like WWDC helps us stay up-to-date with the latest technological advances, and further strengthen the skills of our development groups.

Alvin gained valuable new skills and experience at WWDC, and is already sharing what he has learned with the entire Cloudstaff development community.

Cloudstaff’s technology, innovation, and the commitment to professional growth for staff is what makes us unique in the industry and keeps us years ahead of our competitors.
