Cloudstaff extends happiness beyond

As the Number One Workplace in the Philippines, it has been part of Cloudstaff’s culture to give perks and organise events that can bring joy to its staff and clients. But aside from this, we also make efforts to give joy beyond the four corners of the office.

Cloudstaff was one of the exhibitors in the 72nd PICPA Annual National Convention that was held in November of last year. Our recruitment team represented us at the event. A raffle was conducted giving away Php200,000 worth of holiday trip to Hong Kong Disneyland or any local destination of the winner’s choice.

Out of over 800 registrants, Gracieta Sinugbuhan, a veteran accountant, was showered with luck at that time and turned a nearly impossible probability to win into reality. It was her first time to attend the annual convention and she was extremely fortunate to have been picked during the raffle.

She opted for a local travel and was able to tag along 4 of her loved ones. It was a lengthy preparation for the family—they had to decide on their itinerary, settle their busy schedules, and pack all the stuff they need for the trip. Recently, their 4-day trip to Cebu and Bohol have finally come about safely.

Gracieta mentioned that her son, daughter, sister, and niece were very excited since that was their first time to travel by plane. We know how remarkable first times are, and we are glad to be part of one of theirs. Further, through this giveaway trip, the family was able to fulfill an item from their bucket list.

She is very much delighted to share with us their experience, “At last, I saw the historical places that I only read in history books—the Basilica del Sto Nino church, Magellan’s Cross, Fort San Pedro, Mactan Shrine, and Yap-San Diego Ancestral House, which is more than 300 years old.”

The family have visited some of the beautiful islands in the country, the Caohagan, Nalusuan, and Gilutungan islands. They were also able to view the captivating sandbar at Sumilon Island. “Sumilon is an amazing place,” according to her—it is surrounded with pristine white sand and crystal-clear water. “It is another paradise in Cebu,” her niece added.

That’s only for Cebu, they had more noteworthy experiences in Bohol such as the tour to one of the oldest churches in the Philippines, the Baclayon Church, and at the most famous landmark in the province, Chocolate Hills. Gracieta and her family got the chance to see the adorable tarsiers of Bohol as well. They were also able to dine at the popular Floating Restaurant in Loboc River since Bohol experience would never be complete without it.

All in all, they brought home not only tons of souvenirs and local food, but also plenty of amazing memories to keep. “It was such a great experience that I will never forget in my life. A chance to travel with my family was a big gift for us,” Gracieta’s niece said.

This coming 22-24 November 2018, PICPA is conducting its 73rd Annual National Convention. The event will be very beneficial for accountants to keep updated on the latest trends and developments in their profession and to enable them to meet the ever-changing demands of their respective organisations and clients.

Cloudstaff will surely be there, and we are looking forward to spreading more happiness around.
